Sofren is an international engineering and consulting business specializing in energy and related infrastructures.

Sofren has developed its capacity to intervene at every point in the engineering project cycle (design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance):

Sofren offers several levels of intervention:

  • Technical assistance: in technical trades or in project management, Sofren works on particular “batches” in integrated teams on project platforms.
  • Service centre: it is mobilized for our own projects or at the specific request of our customers in relation to activities involving one or two specific areas of expertise (e.g. civil engineering, nuclear safety)
  • Engineering: conducting a multi-domain project, with a commitment to results, selection of sub-contractors, managing and producing feasibility studies up to the point of execution, or supervising the execution of works; this approach has been accelerated by the acquisition of Sofregaz for our oil & gas projects. Sofren team managers set up work units, and manage the teams on the project entrusted to them. Meeting deadlines and ensuring the deliverables comply with the current standards and norms are among Sofren’s demands.

Project management support: to participate in feasibility studies from the expression of the industrial need to monitoring its completion.

Delegated project management: to take responsibility for a project, draw up the technical specification clauses, run the project.

Design office to bring our expertise in everything from producing calculations and sizing to the point of completion.

Finally, the Sûreté / Safety centre is consulted whenever a project is under development – Sofren considers this to be of the utmost importance.

Finally, Sofren is able to adapt to the constraints related to projects developed by its customers. Its scope extends from turnkey studies under the guidance of experts to the work of our design office in support of our customers’ projects, close to your work sites.
